Over the next few weeks I’ll be updating GG’s webbie with a lot of game reviews, starting from the very release of the PS3. I might not review them all as I’ll have to do a lot of playing to refresh my memory of the older games but if there’s anything you want reviewed feel free to comment on here with a request.

The idea behind all this is that I’m just a member of the public. I work in a normal boring job and I’m not paid by any journalistic companies to write these reviews. I’m doing it to share my love (and occasional hate) of games with you so expect honest reviews. I’ll be starting off with games for the Playstation 3 and if my reviews prove popular I’ll spread onto other formats.

L33tz0r is heading back to England on Saturday and I have about 10 days to myself before I follow which will be good. Maybe I’ll get some blogging done!

I still haven’t heard back from the 2 online jobs that I’ve applied for. Time to apply for a few more! I’ll keep you updated on how that’s going.

Moved all of our belongings from Manchester down to Swanage and I still have some unpacking and arranging to do. L33tz0r doesn’t get here until Wednesday so I’ve had to do it all myself … the nerve of him!!!

Saturday we’ll be on our way to Canada to see my family and I am soooooo excited I’m like a little kid waiting for Christmas!!! I’ve got a few posts in my head waiting to be written so I think I’ll have to sit down and get them out tonight or tomorrow before things start to get too hectic!

And a very Happy Father’s day to all of the fathers out there in the blogosphere today! I hope that your children are spoiling you with breakfast in bed … or hey, even beer in bed!

How could I forget the best product ever since it would cut my shower time by a good 5 minutes everyday? I was very seriously considereing ditching my razor for some Nads! No you sickos, I’m not going to start taking testosterone and become a man to avoid shaving my legs! Nads is an all natural hair removal product!!

Anyway, the point of this post is to direct you to this awesome site I found that has all of those As Seen on TV products on it!! Woooo no need to call, just buy online!! This could potentially be bad news bears for me!!

L33tz0r and his family will also be joining me although not for the full duration. I keep trying to tell them that the little town I live in and the city we’re next to are not all that exciting but they don’t believe me! I’m excited for them to see where I’m from none the less and my family and I will do what we can to keep them entertained. L33tz0r has been there before and is looking forward to going back!! It will be nice to spend some time in the sun with greenery all around instead of the concrete heaven we call Manchester.

With regards to Manchester, we will be leaving it for good as we will be moving to greener pastures down to the south of England where L33tz0r calls home. It’s been a fun 2 years here but it might just be time to move on. And with the rising crime rate, especially crime involving knives and guns, I think it’s come at the right time. Don’t get me wrong, I really am going to miss this city. There’s always something to see and do here and the nightlife is great. I do have mixed feelings about what it’s going to be like living in a farm town on the sea but I’ll let you know how I feel about that once the time comes. I am a little worried that I’ll go stir crazy there but we’ll see. Going from a massive city to a little town on the coast is going to be interesting but I’m looking forward to a change.

Please note that I in no way encourage, or participate in illegal gaming activities such as downloading or pirating games. I believe in keeping the gaming industry alive by purchasing official game copies, however I should other people wish to do those things it is not my place to preach.

In my last post I told you that I got a Presario C700. At the time of the post, this was actually true. Actually, it was writing the post that struck my curiosity because I wanted to have a look at exactly which graphics card I had in my new machine. I checked out the settings and GASP, no graphics card at all!! How could this be?? The sign in the shop clearly stated a Nvidia graphics and a 200gig hard drive. The laptop that I was using did NOT have those things!!

Sure enough, I checked my reciept and I had paid for the Presario F700 but was actually given the C700!! I did not wake up excitedly at 8am on a Saturdayh morning to pick up the wrong laptop! As you can imagine, I was not a happy bunny and L33tz0r and I proceeded to march down to the shop in protest. I swear, we were going to put up a big fight but as soon as we got there we were greeted by the manager who was very appologetic and said that there were new stock boys training that day and this was the second time they had given out the wrong thing. He then sent some other lackey to get the correct laptop and told him to find out who had given me the incorrect laptop and to tell them to go see him right away. For a second I started to feel sorry for the poor little noobie but I quickly remembered how excited I had been and how I had already spent a good 3 hours installing and playing on the C700. That’s 3 hours I’ll never get back and it’s an extra 3 hours I’ll now have to spend on the correct laptop. Bahhh!! What was meant to be a relaxing Saturday spent playing around on my new laptop turned into a Saturday spent fulling back and forth into town. Joy.

The moral of the story? When you are a noobie in a shop and are unfamiliar with the products, double check that you are giving the customer the product that they paid for!!

An HP Compaq Presario C700 to be exact … so far so good!

I wanted a laptop that has an actual graphics card in it instead of just an accelerator so that’s what really sold this one to me. Like all new computers today, it comes with Windows Vista which I am still getting used to but seems to be very user friendly and straight forward. I had heard some very mixed opinions on Vista so I was a little concerned/curious but I am happy with it now. Does anyone have any good or bad opinions about it so I know what I’ve gotten myself into? Any tips for a new user?

Ok so now that I have my new toy to play with I am going to install WoW now to see how it runs on the spiffy new machine!!
