Perfect Day :D
Thanks to L33tz0r and my family, my birthday this year was wonderful!! If you’re just tuning in, it was my 24th birthday yesterday.
Here’s what happened! On Sunday, I had a great day of shopping with my Mom. I can’t remember the last time we spent the day together doing something, just the two of us. Being the good little Canadian girl that I am, my clothing purchases were made in my local Roots store. We spent the whole afternoon browsing, trying on, drooling and talking and it was so much fun!
We arrived home at around 5 o’clock where my father was busily preparing a yummy dinner of muscles and butter to dip them in! Heaven! My godmother (whom I’ve always affectionately called GaGa) came over to say hello (or so I thought!) and drop off a birthday card. So we were eating and chatting, when all of the sudden I turn around and there are my friends and my uncle standing at the door. It took a few minutes to realize what was happening, but I finally worked it out that my family had planned a surprise party for me since I have not been home for my birthday for the past 3 years! My mother then went to the kitchen and brought out trays of food, dips and drinks … including some very strong Jello shooters haha!! I was very grateful and very surprised that my family had gone to such trouble for my birthday!
On my actual birthday (May 20, mark it on your calendars for next year!) the day started with a delish McDonald’s lunch with L33tz0r … hey I’m easily pleased! Then we moved on to play some mini golf in the warm spring sun. I won, of course, as I always do. Maybe he let me … nahhhh!!! After our 18 holes, he took me to the zoo where we saw a zebra, lions, monkeys, llamas and more! Since I haven’t got that new digital camera yet, L33tz0r bought a disposible camera for me at the gift shop so I could get a few shots of our day with the animals!
We went home to an amazing birthday meal of chicken nachos and caesar salad made by my Dad which just topped off the greatness of the day! After dinner, L33tz0r had to attend try-outs for the soccer team that he will be coaching this season so I dropped him off at the field and took a drive to my best friends apartment and went for a little walk with him so he could get some gorgeous thai food. It was a quick visit because I had to go back to the field to pick up my man and it was off to see the midnight showing of the new Terminator movie … which was very good by the way!
Ok now I am rambling but I just felt as though I had to share my wonderful birthday happenings with you. Now it’s back to work as I am currently in class … oops I may want to start paying attention!!

argh.. I completely forgot >.<
I was going to set up a special post and everything. Stupid exam got me all out of sync. lol.
Happy b’day. Glad you had a good time.
