PC vs. Console
Within my circle of friends, there are various opinions on which is the better way to game, PC or console. Speaking as someone who plays PC, PS3, Xbox360 and sometimes PSP games, I have a hard time to really decide which is the better option.
Like most things, this is completely situation and personal preference based. An FPS, for example, would be best played on a PC for most people. The mouse is easier and (arguably) more accurate for aiming, however I think that the trigger buttons of a controller are better for shooting. My FPS experience started with CS:S on the PC so maybe that is why I am more PC inclined when it comes to an shooter. This isn’t to say that I don’t enjoy a console FPS. I play Halo on the Xbox and COD4 on the PS3 which I enjoy … although I’ll be the first to admit that getting used to aiming with an analog stick did take a little getting used to.
I know that EA brought out the Sims for the Playstation, but I don’t really think it works all that well. Games such as that don’t really seem to work all that well with console controls. Same goes for MMO’s like WoW and WAR. I can’t imagine playing WoW on my PS3. There are just too many things I need to be clicking on sometimes that I just can’t see being able to do everything with a limited number of buttons!
How do you like to game and why?

For the longest time I was a console geek, loyal first to Nintendo and then to Sony… then I got into MMOs (Diablo II: LoD, then WoW, then EVE, now PotBS) and haven’t bought any new console or console games since…
And it’s a good thing, too, given how expensive they are anymore! When I was growing up with Super Nintendo, you paid $200 for the system brand new, until a couple of years passed, then it went down to $100. Now the systems release at $600 and the price doesn’t go down for years! And the games have gone from 40 bucks to 60 bucks… it’s outrageous.
