For all your girlie geeky needs
I know that L33tz0r is going to to a complete review of SC4 but I thought I’d just touch briefly on my favorite aspect of the new game. When I first heard that you would have the ability to create your own character in SC4, it wasn’t that I wasn’t excited, but I had no idea what to expect so my hopes weren’t set overly high. What I found really surprised me. I figured you’d probably be able to change the face, hair and hair colour and possibly clothing to a different colour. Boy was I wrong!!
Not only do you have a large variety of hair styles to choose from, you can literally make the hair of your character ANY colour you want. You’ve got a choice of face shapes and voices as well as a highly detailed muscular/physically appealing table for you to play with. So you can make a tiny little girl, or a massive muscular woman rivalling Xena.![]()
Quite possibly my favorite aspect to the custom character creation is the fighting style option. You can choose to have your character fight in the style of a variety of different characters that you already know and love. You can have your pink little girl character called Fluffy fight just like Cervantes if you want. You can choose a few different skills which compliment your own personal playing style but the overall fighting style (ie - quick daggers, slow massive sword, etc) remains the same.
Equipment choices are also very very good with many different armour sets to choose from. Alternately, you can mix and match pieces from different sets to your heart’s desire. Topped off by the fact that all of your armour can be changed into any colour imaginable for a truly unique looking character.
Another point I should make is that by playing through the different modes, you have the ability to unlock new weapons and armour pieces making your customization choices even harder. The weapons and armour have stats so sometimes the choice may be between looks and stats, but if you’re not all that concerned with matching perfectly then it’s no problem at all.
If you can’t tell already, I am loving the custom character creation in all it’s glory. There’s nothing better than seeing what I can come up with and then battleing a someone in online mode to show of my character and to see what other people have made. Some people have really great looking characters!!
Welcome to the blog :) This blog started out as a personal blog which has since evolved into something much more. It is rather eclectic in it's subject matter, touching on things such as blogging for money, gaming and more. Please feel free to leave your comments and suggestions as they are very welcome and appreciated. And don't forget to pop in again soon :)

When i use Character Creation mode, the face type, name, voice and all the cool stuff is locked. I can only change the clothes (limited choice), hair style (again, limited) and the colours. Am I missing something?

What you’re trying to do is change a pre-existing character. In Character Creation mode, select the image in the middle with the 2 people standing together. That’s the custom character creation that you’re looking for
Hope that helps!!

Thank you! I read in the manual “Choose the icon with two unknown characters” but I wasn’t sure what that meant, so now you’ve cleared that up! Maybe I will name a character after you…good or evil?

Unfortunately you can’t create a custom character with their fighting styles but you can edit Vadar and Apprentice themselves if you want to. Sorry

How do you change the height of custom characters in the game, I can change muscular/physique, but when I set it on the lowest setting, my character is still taller than others on the online and in game characters? Am I missing something? Thanks!

As far as I am aware, the height can’t really be changed. If it can be, it would be by making the sliders all go to the smallest settings. I’ve never really noticed the height before so I must make a new char this afternoon and have a look haha!!
